Moab is know for picturesque Red Rock and desert setting. This preserve is a green oasis in the middle of the desert. Nestled between the mighty Colorado and its Mill Creek tributary, over 200 species of birds, amphibians, and aquatic mammals. You might even be able to spot the ever elusive river otter.
There is a mile long accessible boardwalk with a wildlife viewing blind. Bring your binoculars for a better view of the animals. Bird viewing is best in spring and fall. Of course that's when there are the most bugs, so bring some repellent before you feed the birds' food.
Enjoy this shady oasis in the middle of the hot desert while you find the cache.
Please come only with your pen. No dogs, bikes, or any of the other toys associated with Moab are allowed in this peaceful place.
