ZAĶU GOBA / HARE'S ELM.
[LAT] Šī goba ir lielākais Limbažu novadā. Tās apkārtmērs ir 5,65 metri. Šī goba ir īpašs ar savu lielo dobumu, kur varētu ielīst iekšā kādi 3 cilvēki noteikti! Goba ir grubuļains, ļoti vecs, un tajā izveidojies vairāk nekā metru liels dobums. Šī goba nav tik ļoti aktuāls un atpazīstams, tādēļ labprāt šo gobu parādītu daudziem tūristiem un slēpņotājiem, jo patiešām ir vērts redzēt šo milzeni kopā ar mazo Svētupīti. Kādēļ Zaķu goba? Neviens manuprāt to nezin, bet vārētu būt, ka kādreiz šī goba bija normāls dižkoks un zaķis itkā būtu izgrauzis stumbru iekšieni ar saviem zobiem, bet neesam pārliecināti. Goba it īpaši izceļas rudenī ar savām sārtām lapām.
[ENG] This tree is the largest elm in Limbaži province. It's girth is 5,65 metres. This elm is special with it's hollow layer, where probably 3 people would fit in! The elm is rough, very old and there is a metre high hollow in it. This elm is not popular so i'd show this to all the tourists and geocachers, cause this big tree is worth seeing with the little Svētupes river. Why Hare's elm? In fact i don't think anyone know why that is named, but maybe, this elm was just an ordinary tree and a hare would start eating the trunk with it's two front teeth, but we are not sure. The elm is special in the fall, when the leaves are colorful!
