Llangar parish Church is a few centuries older than Rug Chapel from what i have read on various sites At the time of setting Admission is by ticket only, but having just checked 22/08/18 It's now closed which is a shame. and as such has no parishoners. This church has a whitewashed appearance but it is what is inside that is magical, 15th century wall paintings almost like cave paintings that still survive to this day mostly thanks to a new place of worship in Cynwyd, which was erected in 1850 ish.
