ノーフォーク広場のすぐ目の前には関門海峡が広がっています。ここでは海峡を行きかう船や関門橋を間近に見ることができる場所として知られています。また、ココから見るライトアップされた関門橋の景色はすばらしいです。この場所は北九州とノーフォーク（アメリカ合衆国東海岸のヴァージニア）の姉妹都市関係にちなんで名づけられました。
