The walk along this track to Les Granges de Joigny and the ammonite fossils just beyond was one of the first walks I was taken on when I visited the area. Since then I have come back during most of the seasons and my favourite time was at Christmas, in the snow. There were numerous families out walking and sledging and the views were stunning.
I have decided to make a trail of caches - six normal and one bonus, which you have to collect the co-ordinates for as you go along - in memory of this walk and the fun I have had here.
The cache contains a logbook and a large ‘Christmas tree’ stamper. Please do not remove this as it is part of the cache.
There is room for swaps and travel bugs/coins.
To work out the co-ordinates, use the following formula:
N 45° 2A.BC0 E 005° 5D.EF5
Please take great care that the logbook and stamp are safely sealed inside their bag
and that the cache lid is on tight to keep water & snow out.
La randonnée le long du sentier menant aux Granges de Joigny et aux ammonites (plus loin) est la première que j’ai faite quand j’ai visité la région. Depuis, je suis retourné au cours de la plupart des saisons. Celle que j’ai préférée était à Noël, dans la neige. Beaucoup de familles étaient sorties marcher et faire de la luge, et le panorama était spectaculaire.
J’ai décidé de créer un parcours de caches – six normales et un ‘bonus’ dont vous obtenez les coordonnées au fur et à mesure du parcours – en mémoire d’une randonnée qui m’a fait très plaisir.
Dans la cache, il y a un journal et un grand tampon ‘arbre de Noël’. S'il vous plaît, ne l’enlevez pas car il fait partie de la cache.
Il y a de la place pour de petits objets à échanger et des travel bugs/coins.

S'il vous plaît, veillez à ce que le journal et le tampon soient scellés en toute sécurité dans le sac,
et que le couvercle de la cache soit bien rabattu pour empêcher l'eau et la neige de rentrer.
