Glebe Pond (Surrey) Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Lactodorum: Hi, this looks suspiciously like the cache has gone. Could the owner please undertake a maintenance visit to check if it's there or not. In the meantime I'm archiving it but I'll happily unarchive it if/when it's found assuming it still meets the guidelines.

Thanks, Lactodorum

Geocache Description:

Located near the pretty village of Godstone, Surrey. Footpaths can be muddy, so bring good boots/footwear. Watch out for a steep slope.

The cache is near Glebe Pond in Godstone, a pretty village near junction 6 of the M25. There are several public footpaths and ways to access the cache site, however the nearest path is through the St Nicholas Churchyard.

The cache itself is a green ammo box. Be sure to sign the log and take a photo with the camera provided.

There are a few other ponds nearby in Godstone, including Bay Pond, a nature reserve, and originally used for the manufacture of Gunpowder in Elizabethan times, and Lee Mill at N51°14.469 / W000°03.067.

If you are thirsty afterwards, the Bell Pub, Godstone (established in 1393) is recommended.
