If you haven't heard about it already, the Geocaching International Film Festival or GIFF has been held annually at Groundspeak headquarters and encourages geocachers to get out and create cool, exciting and funny videos. This year, Groundspeak is offering to send out the finalists film reel to those who host an event the first weekend in November for screening purposes, which is pretty cool. You could of course watch the videos online (I'm sure there are links somewhere), but we all know that these videos will be much more fun if viewed with a big group of friendly geocachers. So, in the immortal words of the Dude of Life, "let's go out to dinner and see a movie!".
When: November 5th, 6:00pm-8:00pm
The GIFF reel runs an hour long. The plan is to start the movie at 6:30 to allow folks to get food first. We can eat while watching the movie.
Where: Pizza Inn, 5420 Clinton Highway, Knoxville, TN. In the "Banquet Room"
Who: Everyone welcome. Bring the whole family and enjoy the pizza and buffet.
Please post a "Will Attend" if you plan to come and note how many people will be coming. The Banquet room should be able to accommodate even a very large group, but the Staff have asked me to give them a rough headcount a week before the event.
