Otsukimi is the Japanese word for moon-viewing. In the Far East, during this season the Japanese and Chinese celebrate with a harvest festival which features moon-viewing. The Chinese even make special moon cakes (not to be confused with Moon Pies). This harvest season we have already seen a Supermoon and a total eclipse of the moon (a "blood" moon). Even the neighbor's dogs take this opportunity to howl at the moon. Take a moment for moon-viewing this month.
Everyone is welcome. Be sure to bring your appetite, your geocaching stories, and trackables to share.
