This structure forms one of seven now left standing on the moor, and used to be a shelter for observers when artillery was used on the moor. OP 3 is the only remaining timber framed observation post left, and has sadly now been boarded up, presumably having been deemed unsafe by the Army.

The cache is not far off the military tracks in the area.
