Geocache Description:

Well, it's virtual, in that there is no cache itself, but can you find the attempts to stabilize Las Huertas creek? You cross old gravel deposits to get there. It's in the bottom, near some other caches I've put out.

Again, its virtual, ie, no actual cache this time, but hope you can relate to the cache name. Used to have dead trees in the bottom, but not now, and it never was Tibetan, so hence the change on April12, 2005

On highway 165, that is gained from either Bernalillo NM old 44, now 555 I believe,or I25, exit 242, toward Placitas, turn north at Tierra Madre road at N35 18.556' W106 29.752'. If you've passed the Placitas Market, you've gone too far. Wind around the Santa Fe-ish houses to find the parking spot at N35 19.706' W106 28.572. From there look for a notch to the north, the trail is well marked. You might visit other ones in the area as well. Letterbox 7b is tough to find as its well hidden.

I've never tried getting to it from I-25 frontage road, only 165.

Pics are appreciated but not necessary. Please keep your log relevant to the experience of this site. Cachers who are looking for useful help in the logs don't want to scroll through long paragraphs about someone's cut and pasted experiences everywhere they've been.
