In 1966 a large pine forest was established here! I can remember visiting it on a number of occasions. Although it really didn't belong in a National Park, it was a lovely forest. Of course, to maintain and harvest the forest over the years, they needed forestry workers, and the forestry workers needed a hut! Well at GZ you will find yourself at the hut! It was built in 1966. In 1997 the Pine Forest was removed, and the area replaced with natives. But the hut remains. Now it can be used by bushwalkers for a rest stop, or even overnight in a pinch. There is a nice fireplace here!
Please BYO pen.
