Geocache Description:

One for the vertically challenged!
St Mary's Church in Pakenham has never had a CM, even when the village had a circular route of caches.
Time to change that.
You are looking for a large clip lock box

As Simon Knott says on the Suffolk Churches website, for Suffolk this is an unusual church, and its village is unique in England. Pakenham is the only village, of all the thousands in England that once had them, still to have working both a windmill and a watermill.

The Church itself is a cruciform, one of only a handful in the county.

"The tower is rather glamorous. It is four-square, but evolves into an octagonal turret. Seen from the churchyard of Thurston, less than a mile away, one is hard-pressed to decide if it is a church or a castle." Simon Knott, suffolkchurches.co.uk

The Church has a large car park accessed along a track to the side. You should be able to search for the cache unseen but please be aware of cars coming and going.

This cache is not in the churchyard.
