Recently archeologists working on a dig in the parish of Rinn Ua gCuanach have discovered what many think is the earliest manuscript copy of the Yellow Book of Lecan.
This is a tremendously important find because it includes an number of thought to be lost legends of the Tuatha Dé Danann that many scholars had long feared gone forever.
Although the manuscript is far from intact, with many stories missing the start, middle and ends, the most complete is one entitled Macha agus an lacha na Seirbigh. This is a most intriguing tale that, well see for yourself.
Sadly the final paragraphs of the manuscript are missing so we do not know the location of Glas Taistil's final resting place, however reknown scholar T.S. Iolkovsky believes that the author left clews to the location in the manuscript itself, if only we had the wit to understand it.
