Istituita nel 1990 la Riserva Naturale Orientata Cavagrande del Cassibile è compresa nei comuni di Avola, Noto e Siracusa. Il fiume Cassibile ha modellato il suo corso formando, nel tratto terminale, una serie di cascate e laghetti. Gli ingressi della Riserva si raggiungono da Siracusa. Percorrere la SS. 115 fino ad Avola, imboccare la circonvallazione e svoltare a destra all'indicazione "Avola Antica"; dopo circa 10 Km di tornanti si giunge all'incrocio con Cavagrande (ben visibili le indicazioni).
Riserva Naturale Orientata Cavagrande del Cassibile was created in 1990 and it belongs to the cities of Avola, Noto and Siracusa. Cassibile river shaped its flow creating, in the last part, some waterfalls and little lakes. You can reach the Reserve from Siracusa. From SS 115 till Avola, you will follow the bypass and turn right at the direction "Avola Antica". After 10 km you will reach the crossing with Cavagrande (the signals are clear).
