Geocache Description:

Beautiful view of the Peruvian Navy Lighthouse (Faro de la Marina) located at the Malecón de Miraflores

The Peruvian Navy Lighthouse (Faro de la Marina) is an active lighthouse located in Miraflores. It is one of the most visited lighthouses in the country. It was built in the year 1900. This is a cache of the Malecón de Miraflores series. The cache container is hidden at a location that is relatively close to the lighthouse and that offers a great view of the lighthouse and of a well known navy symbol (bring your own pen). The cache has just been moved (January 2024) to a better location after several cache location attempts. Coordinates refelect the actual hiding spot, but if you want to have fun finding it without the coordinates, walk from the lighthouse following the sidewalk towards the well known navy symbol. Once you get to the navy symbol, make a left and follow the sidewalk for about 30 m (100 ft). The cache spot might be "electrifying". Please be careful with muggles becauase this cache has been muggled numerous times.
