Die Rund-Um-Warschau-Serie entstand, um die Grenzen der Stadt auf der GC-Karte ersichtlich zu machen. Selbstverständlich wollten wir damit auch einige interessante Orte weiter empfehlen.

Dawniej były to dwie oddzielne wsie: Mańki i Wojdy. Następnie wsie te zaczęto traktować jako jedność i powstała nazwa Mańki-Wojdy. Później jednak pomiędzy dawnymi dwoma częściami wsi powstała wieś Augustówek, co doprowadziło do dość dziwnej sytuacji, że jedna wieś jest podzielona zabudowaniami innej wsi. W 1976 r. Mańki-Wojdy i Augustówek zostały włączone do granic Warszawy wraz z innymi sąsiadującymi wsiami. Sytuacja jednak pozostała i na północ od ulicy Zdziarskiej jest układ osiedli: Mańki-Wojdy – Augustówek – Mańki-Wojdy. Wschodnie zabudowania wsi leżą przy granicy Warszawy. Na północy sąsiadują z osiedlami Ruskowy Bród i Olesin, a na południu z Augustówkiem. Pomimo że jest to osiedle w granicach Warszawy, to niewiele się różni od typowej wsi. Ciekawszy jest natomiast las otaczający wieś od strony wschodniej - i jak wszystkie w tej okolicy zryty okopami z 1944.

Historically, there were two separate villages Mańki and Wojdy. Then these villages began to be treated as one and the name Mańki-Wojdy was created. Later, however, between the two parts of the old village it was founded Augustówek village, which led to a rather strange situation that one village is divided by buildings of another village. In 1976 Mańki-Wojdy and Augustówek have been incorporated into the borders of Warsaw, along with other neighboring villages. However, the situation remained and north of the Zdziarska street is the pattern of settlements: Mańki-Wojdy - Augustówek - Mańki-Wojdy. East buildings of the village lies on the border of Warsaw. In the north, adjacent to settlements Ruskowy Bród and Olesin and in the south of Augustówek. Although it is a settlement within the limits of Warsaw, it is not much different from a typical village. More interesting is the forest surrounding the village from the east - and like all in the area full of old trenches from 1944.
