The cache is not at the published co-ordinates it is for the Church gate.
The first church built in Churt in 1833 was within the parish of Frensham in the Winchester diocese. In 1865 Churt became a separate parish and three years later was consecrated by the Bishop of Winchester. In 1927 Church became part of the newly formed Guildford diocese.
The original building was small and constructed of bargate stone. Since 1868 there have been a number of alterations and additions the last being the church room completed in 1975.
Four stained glass windows in the north , south and west naves commemorate the langdale family and the family of the revd, A.W. Watson. the east window was given by Admiral Sir William and lady James in memory of their daughter, Diana who died shortly before her marriage.
