This will be a CITO on the Lorton Meadows Reserve and will be supervised by the Dorset Wildlife Trust who own the Reserve and their staff who work on the reserve.
The Conservation Centre found at the location will be the point at which we gather and start the task we will work on after being given a safety briefing by the Ranger.
We will be helping rake the grass from the Lorton Meadows after it has been cut by the Rangers.
This is a very important task as if you leave the grass on the meadows it means that it rots down and enriches the soil which is not good for the flowers found on this important meadow land.
Drinks will be supplied by the Dorset Wildife Trust and we are working very close to the Conservation Centre with facilities should you need to use them
There will be something for all to do and the geokids are welcome.
