This cache is placed in the Riserva Naturale del Monte Cofano.
Located at 55 meters above the sea level, this cave is accessible through a path that runs along Monte Cofano. It takes his name because it is located above the small votive chapel of the Crucifix. It is formed by an arched corridor 6 meters wide and 23 meters deep, that extends inward in a narrow horizontal tunnel. Many tools, animal bones and excellent flint were found inside the cave.
The cache is near the chapel of the Crucifix. The near plant is heather.
Notice: you need to pay a ticket for the access to Monte Cofano Reserve: 2€ full ticket, 1€ reduced ticket (groups), free ticket (children under 10 years).
Questa cache si trova nella Riserva Naturale del Monte Cofano.
Situata a 55 metri slm, la grotta è raggiungibile attraverso un sentiero che costeggia Monte Cofano. E’ così chiamata perché si trova sopra la piccola cappella votiva del Crocifisso. E’ formata da un corridoio ogivale largo 6 metri e profondo 23 metri che si allarga verso l’interno in un ristretto cunicolo orizzontale. Numerosi utensili, ossa di animali e dell’ottima selce sono stati rinvenuti all’interno della grotta.
La cache è posta poco sotto la cappella del Crocifisso, vicino a piante di erica.
Attenzione: l'ingresso alla Riserva è a pagamento: biglietto intero 2€, biglietto ridotto 1€ (gruppi e residenti), ingresso libero per bambini fino ai 10 anni.
