Geocache Description:

This is one of a few remaining patches of native grasslands in he midst of this rapidly urbanising area. It should be a quick and easy grab, but parking during the week will be an issue. This cache is wheelchair accessible.

This area is described by the sign at gz as a remnant of the natural temperate grassland which would have been typical of the Limestone Planes at the time of European settlement in the early 1800's. The grassland is the habitat of the Golden Sun Moth which is a species of scientific interest. It may look like it is just a matter of time before this site is developed, but as you will read on the sign, this is a conservation area and measures are in place to keep it this way. Please ensure you replace the cache as found. There is no need to enter the conservation zone. An FTF souvenir awaits the fleet-footed.
