I first came to France last year, on my Geocaching Bike Trip across Europe (raduclapa.ro/GBTE). It is true, I saw less of the country than I would have liked to, but that just means I have to come back again, and again :D And here I am, doing just that!
This is a picture of me, while I was geocaching near Avignon last year.
If you read some of the things written on my blog using the link above (and I warmly invite you to do it), it means you kinda already know me, so let's meet face to face now. That's what this event is for!
One of the biggest regrets I have from my trip last summer is that I didn't make events in every major city I went, in every country I crossed. But I was a beginner geocacher so I didn't know about events and things like that. This time I am not going to make the same mistake.
I am going to fly from Copenhagen to Nice on August 17th, spend some time there, searching for some caches, meeting other geocachers (GC60AHQ) and then find my way to Avignon, to my friend.
I found most of the caches here last year, so I think I will expand my search area during this visit. Right before leaving the city, I thought we could all meet. I actually wanted to make the event in the day I arrive to the city, but I moved it to the weekend, so that everybody is free from work :).
As location, I was out of ideas but I knew I wanted it to be inside the walls, close to the city center, at a cafe, or somewhere with tables where we can sit and talk. So I choose cafe Lalogene and we can stay at one of the tables there.
So let's meet on Saturday, August 22, at 17:00
The event will take one hour, but we can stay as much as we like.
If you have any other good suggestions for a good event location that fulfills the conditions above, please feel free to say so. I had to make the event as soon as possible because of the 2 weeks time limit, but we can change the location if any of you nice people has a better idea.
Don't forget any TB's or GeoCoins that might want to travel to Romania or Denmark, since I will go there next and I could help them on their mission.
