Geocache Description:

A nice visit to the Newport Aquatic Center and the Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve. Mostly easy, flat terrain.

The Newport Aquatic Center is open till 8pm weekdays, 7pm Fridays, and 6pm Sat & Sun. The outer gate to the parking lot is locked at 10pm. This cache is not located inside the buildings or private areas of NAC, so in theory you could go at any time. More info about NAC is available here:

As of 30 Sept '16 the cache is still magnetic, but has changed from an Altoids Tin to a yellow, waterproof journal. In the "Storytelling Cache" there are no trinkets to trade, but hopefully you'll trade stories on the waterproof pages! :) The location can be busy, but people come and go quickly, so if you wait a minute or two, you should be ok. M-F from 3-6pm is High School Rowing Crew and things tend to be quite busy.
