Velkommen til Havnepromenaden!
Havnepromenaden strekker seg 9 km seg langs hele Fjordbyen, fra Kongshavn i øst til Frognerkilen i vest. I begge ender kan du fortsette turen langs kyststien. I Frognerkilen går ferden videre rundt Bygdøy, og ved Alna fortsetter den sørover langs Ekeberg.
Filipstad
Filipstad ble utviklet som havn på sluttet av 1800-tallet, og er sentral i Oslos havnehistorie. Det var hit den aller første bananbåten la til kai en septemberdag i 1905 med 3000 kg bananer. Kjenner du lukten av nybrent kaffe? Joh. Johansen's kaffebrenneri holder til her og 25 prosent av Norges kaffe brennes her.
Fremover vil det skje store endringer på Filipstad. Området skal bli en utvidelse av sentrum med mange boliger og arbeidsplasser. Motorveien planlegges lagt i tunnel og fergeterminalen skal moderniseres og få en ny pir for cruiseskip.
Welcome to the Harbour Promenade!
Nine kilometer long, the promenade outlines the Fjord City waterfront, from Kongshavn in the east to Frognerkilen in the west. In either end, you can continue your hike along the coastal paths, westwards around Bygdøy or southwards along Ekeberg. The promenade connects the city to the fjord, and east to west. With its adjoining parks and urban spaces, the promenade makes the Fjord City accessible for everybody in Oslo.
Filipstad
Filipstad was developed as a harbour at the end of the 1800s. It was here that the first ship carrying bananas berthed in 1905, with a cargo of 3000 kg of bananas. Can you smell the aroma of freshly-ground coffee? The tall building hoses Joh. Johansen's coffee roasting facility, where 25% of Norway's coffee is roasted.
Filipstad will be undergoing major development in the future. Filipstad will become an extension of the city centre, with housing, workplaces and the motorway will run through a tunnel.
