It is not compulsory to buy a ticket for the railway to do this cache, we have been able to drive to Seven Stations without difficulty. However since a return ticket Bridgnorth to Kidderminster allows you to hop on and off at any and every station on the route you may find it easier and more fun to "let the train take the strain".
We did this with Kids aged 8, 6 years & 9 weeks. Hot day, with lots of steam trains.
