WHEN I SAW THAT AUGUST 15th WAS INTERNATIONAL CACHING DAY I LOOKED AT WHAT WOULD BE VERY COOL TO CELEBRATE THIS DAY , AND SAW THE WALK IN GARDEN # 1 BEING A D 5 / T 5 AND A GREAT WALK TO IT I DECIDED TO MAKE THIS MY DAY TO DO THIS , THEN IT WAS SUGGESTED TO ME TO SEE IF ANYONE ELSE WOULD FANCY THE WALK TO THE BASE OF THE SLOPE .
I HAVE SPOKEN TO A CACHER WHO HAS MADE THIS TREK AND ITS THE CLIMB UP FROM THE BASE THAT MAKES IT A 5/5 AND THE WALK TO THE BASE IS OK .
****'AT 11 WE COULD MEET AT THE HOSTEL and WALK To THE BASE , WHERE WE WILL CHAT AT 1pm to 1.30 pm EVENT TIME (- event will last for at least a half hour if not longer )AT THAT STAGE ANY{{{ ADULTS }}}}WHO FANCY THE 200/300m UP THE SLOP TO GET THE WITG # 1 .... LIKE MYSELF WILL MAKE THE CLIMB - WHILE SOME WILL STAY DOWN AT THE BASE , WITH ANY YOUNG PEOPLE WHO DONE THE WALK .( no climbing )
{ it will then be nice to retreat back to the glenmalure inn for food and a drink . }
( there's is also a few caches to be got in and around glenmalure after or before the event - walk )
