Salmon Brook Sanctuary is teeming with life, it's an amazing area to view wildlife and has some awesome views looking over the water. You'll want to have your camera handy! The event will go on as scheduled unless a potential danger exists. Click this link to view the nearest weather station forecast. Nashua Parks and Recreation Department will be dropping off supplies and pick up has been scheduled.
WHEN: Sunday, August 9th at 10 am to 12 noon
Please arrive on time. We will set out promptly at 10:10, but you won’t have to worry about being left behind. There should be cachers throughout the area to point you in the right direction. Or by all means go rogue and get started early you too will be counted (evidence required if leaving early).
WHERE: The Salmon Brook Sanctuary, in Nashua, New Hampshire
The event starts at the posted coordinates and will head East into the park, following Salmon Brook. Street parking is sporadically available throughout the neighborhood (see map). Optional: team up with other attending cachers to reduce congestion and it promotes an earth friendly practice! There's an outstanding Park N' Ride with a cache (GCMCDD) that would be perfect to meet up at.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Boots, Gloves, Bug/Tick Repellant, water, snacks, and a sense of community spirit!
- Large Hedge scissors (to clear the border of trail Only!) no extra trimming!
- Please bring knee or hip boots if you’re willing to get into the nitty gritty.
- Recycling bins, trash bags, and latex gloves will be provided, but feel free to bring your own
As a special bonus, those logging an "Attended" at a CITO Event after July 31 will receive the High-Five for the Earth digital Souvenir for their Geocaching profile. Arden and I look forward to welcoming you there.
