The lighted Flagstaff Floatilla II will begin at the public boat launch on Rt 27 and under the bridge and into Flagstaff Lake. Please decorate your boat, kayak, canoe, or other vessel with lights of your choice. We'll arrange to have a group photo taken from the Rt 27 bridge. The length of the trip will depend on the weather conditions, but the event will be held rain or shine.
There are a few caches up in this section of the river and a few new caches will be added prior to the event. The longest paddle up the South Branch Log Drives cache is about a mile from the launch, so about a 2 mile round trip. Others will involve a round trip paddle or trip of less than a mile. There will be a floating prize island that the group will proceed to to pick up your event prize.
Come join the fun and always bring appropriate safety gear and PFD's. Prizes will be handed out for the best decorated vessels for creativity and originality. Looking forward to all joining in the fun.
