Pink Foxglove and Life Is Action are getting married and we invite you to join us in a casual picnic island celebration. We have had such wonderful experiences since meeting geocachers and our lives have become much richer because of geocaching in so many ways, that we want to share our day with all geocachers. Whether you know us or not, met us, or even heard of us, we still welcome anyone who wishes to visit the island on that day.
Tent campsites are available for free at the Tea House grounds if you wish to stay overnight on the island.
No gifts please!
In lieu of gifts, we ask everyone to bring food for a picnic lunch after the wedding ceremony.
Location: Fort Ives on McNabs Island
11:00 am – Wedding Ceremony
12:00 pm – Picnic
There is no shelter, so if it rains, we will have a rain date of August 16, same time, same place.
We will be placing a few new geocaches on the island to be published on the day of the wedding. More details on that and other plans later. Also, thanks to islander1988, we have some custom trackable buttons to share at the event:
There are several ways to get there. You may arrange your own passage to the island, either by paddling, rowing, motor boating, sailing or taking one of the ferries.
McNabs Island Ferry – 902-465-4563 - $20 No Tax
Taylor Made Tours Ferry - 902-448-4982 - $20 No Tax
A&M Sea Charters - 902-465-6617 - $23 With Tax. (For larger groups only. Up to 29 people. Minimum 15. - - - - - This one would be the best for geocachers if they are going as a group. You can book return ferry times if you get together and decide on a time that works for most of you. If not, you can still book the other ferries.)
New Ferry:
Chebucto Water Taxi - Alex Kawchuck - 902-497-0943 - Not sure of price
We hope to see many of you there, and look forward to sharing the day with you all.
