Geocache Description:

This is a series of 5 caches dedicated to the memory of our feline friends, who are no longer with us.  They have been placed along the towpath of the Coventry Canal Main Line, Hawkesbury to Fazeley.

Charlotte was our little tortie girl.  Bought from the pet shop in Ball hill Coventry for £25.00 in 1992, she became ill within a week.  Feline enteritis, before she could be vaccinated.  This was start of endless digest problems, feline asthma, dog attacks, strange lumps, FADS and every other conceivable inconvenience.

She was an extremely loving mother cat who cared for her only litter of 3 kittens in an exemplary manner despite the nasty tail injury acquired just a week before their birth.  She missed her two youngest kittens tremendously when they left for new homes, and spent a week sniffing and mewing around the house.  Harry, her eldest, stayed with her, and she duly continued to nurse him until he was 9 months old and nearly as big as she was.

Despite the constant worry, she was a real trooper and managed to survive, against the odds, for 14 years.

This cache is marked with a little piece of her property.

The towpath can get extremely muddy in bad weather so please take extra care, especially if you have geo-kids with you.

All containers are suitable for small swappable items and trackables.  Please ensure containers are put back as they were found with the lids on securely.

There's a lucky sixpence in the log book bag for the first to find.
