the founder of the Mexican revolution, remains an iconic figure in Mexico and popular culture.
Coming from the humblest of backgrounds, he took on the corrupt and oppressive plantation owners and government - successfully forging alliances and mobilising the force of the people to fight for the liberties and agrarian rights of the indigenous Mexican poor.
