Geocache Description:

This Little Bridge is set along the very picturesque walk through Vallis Vale, and if you have the time to spare there are a number of other great caches set within easy exploring distance.

The terrain to get to the cache is pretty good, however those in wheelchairs or with cumbersome buggies may find it difficult. A great area for those with kids and dogs, but be aware as this path is very popular with muggles & doggles and forms part of the East Mendip Way. Next to the bridge is a derelict limekiln and south along the path there is a restored limekiln, and as you wander along you can see the rock faces that once were the quarries that dominated this valley which is now a designated SSSI. You are looking for a small Pot in a camo bag that initially contains the log book, some swaps, and also a small prize for the FTF. Please bring your own pen and please re-hide well once you've signed the log book to record your find. Placed with the kind permission of Natural England and Hanson.

The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire. Since then the series has been expanded by others all over the country and starting to spread fast, Damian from Winter Foxes has created and updates a list of cachers who has found 10 or more little bridges and can be found here, if you would like to add to the series, please contact Stan on stanthews@aol.com and he will give you a number for your bridge, to qualify, the bridge must be a foot bridge too small for vehicles, please make sure your title exactly matches “Little Bridges # xx then name” including spaces so it will get picked up and added to Damian’s list.

Congratulations to tsiolkovsky for FTF honours!
