GYG - The Ultimate Guide for Young European Guides Mystery Cache

O projeto “GYG – The Ultimate Guide for Young European Guides” teve como propósito a contribuição de alunos de cinco regiões da Europa para a construção de um guia no qual se valorizem os aspetos específicos de cada uma das suas regiões. O PEAC 12 pretende cooperar com este projeto através desta geocache.

O projeto envolve a participação de alunos e professores e inclui escolas dos seguintes países, para além de Portugal: Alemanha (Nuremberga), Bélgica (Edegem-Antuérpia), Polónia (Zlotow) e Estónia (Kehra). Um dos seus desígnios é a valorização do património cultural, natural, humano, urbanístico, entre outros, para que essas regiões se apresentem como regiões atrativas no setor do turismo, por exemplo. Pretende também facilitar-se o acesso dos jovens europeus às cidades e às regiões de todos os países envolvidos, a partir do trabalho realizado por outros jovens, ou seja, no caso do Fundão e respetiva região, pelos alunos do Agrupamento de Escolas do Fundão. O projeto envolve cerca de 100 alunos de vários cursos.

The “GYG – The Ultimate Guide for Young European Guides” project aimed at organizing a guide with the collaborative work of the students from all the five European regions to enhance the very particular features of each one of their original regions. This Geocache was the outcome of the class PEAC 12’s contribution to the project.

The Project involves the participation of teachers and students from the following countries: Germany (Nuremberg), Belgium (Edegem-Antwerp); Poland (Zlotw) and Estonia (Kehra), beyond Portugal (Fundão). One of its goals is the promotion of the cultural, natural, human and urban heritage, among others, so that those regions can be seen as attractive in terms of tourism, just to mention one of the areas. It also aims at facilitating the access of the European youth to the regions of the other member countries having as the starting point the work carried out by other young people, i.e., in the case of Fundão and its surroundings, the work done by the Agrupamento de Escolas do Fundão. The project involves about 100 students who attend different courses.

The coordinates were set in the place where a structure had been erected to pinpoint the exact location of the cities that have participated in this project. The final coordinates are outdoors in the Agrupamento de Escolas do Fundão and to find them out it will be mandatory not only to answer the questions that follow but also to pick the number after each correct answer to replace the corresponding letter on the final coordinate:
