Adults and children alike are invited to join the Ranger at White Horse Hill, Uffington to help with the upkeep of this ancient monument by re-chalking the Horse.
When: Sunday 30th August 10:00-12:00 (although the NT will be continuing until 3:30 and also on Monday 31st so you are welcome to stay longer if you wish but you must book a time slot by phoning 01793 762209.) In your log, please state how many people will be in your group so that I can pass on numbers to the NT. They have asked for no more than 70 participants.
What to bring: Tools and gloves are provided but feel free to bring your own if you have any. Please wear clothing suitable for the weather and be prepared to get dirty!
Parking: Free for permit holders, NT members with valid stickers and disabled badge carriers. Otherwise, up to two hours is £2.00 and all day is £4.00. Use SN7 7QJ for your SatNavs.
Dogs: You're welcome to bring your dog along to explore this dramatic site, but please keep it under close control at all times. Dogs must be put on leads near livestock.

There are several big caching trails in the area that you may be interested in including the UWHT by Longpod, the DBF trail by Pebbles&Co and the Quest for the Blowing Stone trail by Stompy. There is also The Manger Earthcache by wirewoman at the horse.
