Geocache Description:

This bridge/ culvert has an unusual right-angled railing. The walkway is grassed over, where it tops the stream. A spur of water that runs below a nearby road, flows under this bridge where it meets Siston Brook.

As this bridge is too close to another cache, it has been done as a multi.

The bridge is located at the posted co-ordinate, where some information gathering is required, to get the numbers needed for calculating the cache co-ordinate.

Information gathering:

A. How many sections make up the right-angled railing?

B. How many big vertical posts on the railings?

C. What generic material is the right-angled rail made from (Record the number of letters in your answer).

D. How many sections of the railing have the same number of small vertical posts?

E. How many small posts in one section of previous question D?

F. How many sections of the railing have a different number of small posts than question E?

G. How many small posts in one section of previous question F?

Do the following calculations to find the cache co-ordinate:

N51 (B - D) (E - C) . (G - D) (C + D) (B + F)

W002 (D - F) (G - A) . (D + F) (E - D) (B + D)

The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire. Since then the series has been expanded by others all over the country and starting to spread fast, Damian from Winter Foxes has created and updates a list of cachers who has found 10 or more little bridges and can be found here, if you would like to add to the series, please contact Stan on stanthews@aol.com and he will give you a number for your bridge, to qualify, the bridge must be a foot bridge too small for vehicles, please make sure your title exactly matches “Little Bridges # xx then name” including spaces so it will get picked up and added to Damian’s list.
