This is the 7th geocache on the route. After taking a look at Jay's Grave go through the gate and follow the path to this cache.
Jay's Grave is another famous spot on Dartmoor with a rather sad story. Kitty Jay was a young apprentice back in the late 18th century/early 19th century who went to work on a nearby farm and became pregnant. With no one to turn to she sadly hung herself in one of the farm barns. Back then if you had committed suicicde you could not be buried in a church graveyard and instead and to be buried on a crossroads, hence the grave is here. Traditionally there are always fresh flowers placed upon the grave and no one knows who puts them there.
