The church
St James Church was built in 1878 making Woodhouse a parish in its own right, separating it from Handsworth. A choir vestry was added in 1925, which is now a meeting area and office. It is an Anglican (Church of England) place of worship, still in use today. The church's three bells had structural issues and so now are rung using an electronic clanger controlled from within the church.

Parking
Please do not park in the church car park. Parking is available on the main road or side roads. A large car park is a short walk away (see waypoint), which is especially useful to do the Woodhouse church micro series.
