A little over a year ago my boys (the Shepard sons) and I placed our first geocache in Pence Park. Since then, we've been on the lookout for other good spots.
One day, I decided to hike to the top of Independence Mountain Trail. I was able to pick up a new find on the way.
The top was awesome. So awesome that I figured there was no way someone else had not already picked this for a cache. But a search didn't find anything and I decided to submit it to see if it worked.
Apparently, this spot was available.
The hike is less than a mile, but the trail is very steep. You can pick up a couple of finds along the way. The day I hid this, it took me 36 minutes to hike to the top and hide the container.
You are looking for a regular sized camo-duct-tape covered container.
original contents include a few toys and a couple of travel bugs. PLEASE if you take a travel bug, do NOT forget to log that you have it. Don't take a travel bug unless you intend to keep it moving.
