St James's Church, Piccadilly, also known as St James's Church, Westminster and as St James-in-the-Fields, is an Anglican church on Piccadilly, London
In 1662, Henry Jermyn, 1st Earl of St Albans, was granted land for residential development on what was then the outskirts of London.
He set aside land for the building of a parish church and churchyard on the south side of what is now Piccadilly.
In 1685 the parish of St James was created for the church.
St James’s suffered in the blitz, and was left a burnt-out ruin and open to the elements. It remained a roofless shell for nearly seven years. In 1941, services resumed after a temporary roof was constructed over parts of the south aisle.
Some artifacts were protected before the raid, including the marble font, and alter carvings.
And so to the cache...
This is a short multi, and the final is just a few moments away, but is in an area that will need a good deal of stealth.
To find the cache you need some numbers
There are along the wall outside the church how many water features A inlaid in the wall. On the fountain closest to the church gates, is an inscription to a Ms Rosetta, which month = B
Also, how many white panels with wording on C
And a red information sign...
" Consecrated... DEFG "
So the coords for the final are
N51 (C+D) (G-C-A) . (B-A) (F-B) (E-C)
W000 (B-D-E) (A+E) . (A/C) (D+E) (G)
Please bring a pen, you need it to sign the log!
