Dieser Wherigo lehnt sich, wenn auch in vereinfachter Form, an das 1983 erschienene, und zum Spiel des Jahres 1983 gekürte Brettspiel Scottland Yard. Auch optisch habe ich versucht diesen Klassiker so originalgetreu wie möglich darzustellen.
In einer wilden Verfolgungsjagt durch Bruneck schlüpfst du in die Rolle eines Geheimagenten und du musst MisterX, einen international gesuchten Doppelagenten, ausfindig machen, verfolgen und ihn dingfest machen. Dafür benützt du virtuelle Fahrzeuge wie Taxi, Bus und U-Bahnen (Metro). Alle Halteplätze dieser Verkehrsmittel findest im Stadtplan am Anfang dieses Listings eingezeichnet. MisterX benützt ebenfalls diese Verkehrsmittel und bewegt sich damit durch die Stadt. Die Dedektivzentrale für die du arbeitest, versorgt dich immer wieder mit Informationen über den Standort von MisterX und sein verwendetes Verkehrsmittel. Da MisterX ein begnadeter Doppelagent ist, und ihm alle Mittel seine Spuren zu verwischen bekannt sind, taucht er immer wieder unter und muss deshalb immer wieder aufgespürt werden. Ein gewisses taktisches Vorgehen, ist also notwendig! Außerdem besitzt MisterX eine begrenzte Anzahl an "Joker"; Kenner des Spiels Scotland Yard wissen, um was es sich handelt. Alle anderen sollten sich einfach überraschen lassen. Also, einfach die Cartridge laden ... und die Jagd nach MisterX kann beginnen!
Kurze Spielanleitung:
- du brauchst den Spielplan am Anfang des Listings! Druck ihn aus und nimm ihn mit (ca. Größe Din A4)
- diese Anleitung klingt komplizierter als das Spiel wirklich ist! Die Cartrige selbst wird dir weiterhelfen!
- das Spiel ist rundenbasiert, d.h. du machst einen Zug, dann macht MisterX einen Zug, usw.
- da MisterX immer wieder untertaucht, siehst du nicht nach jedem seiner Züge wo er sich gerade aufhält!
- die Dedektivzentrale meldet dir immer, falls MisterX irgendwo gesichtet wurde
- wenn MisterX am Zug ist, meldet dir die Zentrale (fast
) immer welches Verkehrsmittel er verwendet hat
- alle Stationen sind durchnummeriert und die Verkehrsmittel, die bei der jeweiligen Station benützt werden können sind farblich gekennzeichnet: Taxi=gelb, Bus=grün (grüner Halbreis oberhalb der Nummer), Metro=rot
- du kannst dich von einer Station zur nächsten nur entlang der farblichen Linien bewegen: Taxi=gelb, Bus=grün, Metro=rot
- ein Beispiel: du stehst bei Station 6: du kannst mit dem Taxi zu Stationen: 5, 3, 18, fahren oder mit dem Bus zu den Stationen: 2, 12, 19, 17 fahren oder mit der Metro zur Station: 10 fahren.
- in deiner Taskliste befindet sich ein Punkt "akuteller Spielstand". Benutze ihn, um aktuelle Informationen zum Spiel anzuzeigen
- Wenn du MisterX gefasst hast, dann findest du sein Reisebuch in deiner Objektliste. Damit kannst du seine gesamte Reiseroute nachträglich kontrollieren.
- Die "geheimen Dokumente", die du finden wirst, bitte nicht aus der Dose entfernen!

Zur Cartrigde:
Android: getestet und sollte funktionieren. Leider keine absolute Garantie auf Absturzsicherheit!
Iphone: keine Möglichkeit für einen Test. Da der Wherigoplayer auf dem Iphone erfahrungsgemäß grottenschlecht ist, vermute ich, dass die Cartdridge dort nicht einwandfrei läuft und vor allem Objektnamen nicht richtig dargestellt werden (nil). Ich würde mich aber über ein Feedback darüber sehr freuen!!
Garmin: Erfolgreich durchgespielt aber im Schnelldurchlauf, d.h. leider kein kompletter Test im Feld. Bekannter Bug auf einem Garmin Nüvi 550: Absturz beim Laden eines gespeichertes Spiels, wenn noch kein Satelliten-Fix vorhanden ist. Außerdem konnte ich ein nicht reproduzierbares "Hängen" der Cartrigde beobachten, wo das Programm ohne Absturz leider nicht weiterläuft. Ich vermute das passiert aufgrund der schwachen Leistung des Garmins. Ich würde mich sehr freuen, wenn ich ein paar Informationen von Garmin-Testern bekommen würde!!

Questo Wherigo si appoggia, anche se in forma semplificata, al gioco da tavolo "Scotland Yard" pubblicato nel anno 1983. Scotland Yard è stato premiato con il marchio "Gioco dell'anno" nel 1983. Visivamente ho cercato di presentarlo come l'originale nel miglior modo possibile.
In un inseguimento sulle strade di Brunico assumi il ruolo di un agente segreto e devi trovare ed arrestare MisterX, un'agente doppiogiochista ricercato a livello internazionale. I veicoli (virtuali) che userai saranno Taxi, Autobus (Bus) e metropolitane (Metro). Tutte le fermate di questi mezzi trovi sulla pianta di Brunico che vedi all'inizio di questo listing. Anche MisterX userà gli stessi veicoli pubblici, quindi si muove allo stesso modo come te. Poiché anch' esso è un agente di talento, sa occultare le sue tracce, quindi sparisce e rimane invisibile, finche la centrale, per cui lavori, trova una nuova traccia. Sarà questa centrale che ti comunicherà periodicamente la posizione di MisterX e (quasi) sempre il veicolo che ha usato! Siccome MisterX rimane sempre invisibile per qualche giro una certo approccio tattico è neccessario! Inoltre MisterX ha a disposizione un certo numero limitato di "Joker"; Tulli quelli che conoscono il gioco sanno di cosa parlo, per tutti gli altri sarà una sorpresa. Caricati la cartridge, cosi la caccia a MisterX puo cominciare!
Breve guida di gioco:
- avrai bisogno della pianta che trovi all'inizio del listing!! Stampatela (ca. formato A4) e portatela con te durante la caccia
- questa guida sembra più complicato di quanto il gioco è davvero! La cartridge stessa ti aiuterà!
- il gioco funziona a turni, cioè, prima sarà tuo turno, poi MisterX fa il suo turno, etc.
- poiché MisterX sa occultare le sue tracce, NON saprai sempre dove si trova; periodicamente la centrale ti darà informazione sulla posizione di MisterX
- dopo ogni turno di MisterX la centrale ti comunicherà (quasi) sempre il veicolo di trasporto che ha usato
- tutte le stazioni sono numerate, e il mezzo di trasporto che può essere utilizzato in ogni stazione sono a colori: Taxi=giallo, Bus=verde, Metro=rosso
- puoi arrivarci da una stazione ad un altra solo se è collegata con una linea colorata: Taxi=giallo, Bus=verde, Metro=roso (tracciata)
- un esempio: se stai alla stazione 6: puoi prendere un taxi per una delle stazioni: 5, 3, 18, o puoi prendere il Bus per le stazioni: 2, 12, 19, 17 o puoi andare con la Metro verso la stazione: 10
- nella tua Task-list trovi la voce "stato attuale del gioco". Usalo per visualizzare informazioni correnti del gioco
- quando avrai preso MisterX, allora troverai il suo diario di viaggio nella tua lista oggetti. Così alla fine del gioco puoi verificare tutto il suo itinerario
- Prego di non rimuovere i "documenti top-secret", che troverai nella Geocache!

la cartridge:
Android: testato e dovrebbe funzionare, purtroppo nessuna garanzia assoluta di assenza di malfunzionamento.
Iphone: Purtroppo nessuna possibilità di testare. Siccome il Wherigo-Player del Iphone e programmato molto scarso, presumo che la cartridge non funziona alla perfetta, sopratutto nella nominazione di oggetti (nil).
Garmin Nüvi 550: Testato/simulato in modo "veloce" su un Garmin Nüvi 550; quel test è andato a buon fine. Nessun test completo fuori nel campo. Un bug trovato, che ancora non ho potuto risolvere: Il Garmin si blocca se si vuole caricare un game salvato se il fix satellitare non è ancora avvenuto.

This Wherigo is inspirated, although in simplified form, from the board game "Scotland Yard" published in the year 1983. Scotland Yard has been awarded under the "Game of the Year" in 1983. Visually, I tried to present it as the original as well as possible.
In a chase on the streets of Brunico you take the role of a secret agent and you have to find and stop MisterX, an double agent sought internationally. For that you used (virtual) vehicles such as Taxi, Bus and subways (Metro). All stations of these means are markded on the plant of Brunico you see at the beginning of this listing. MisterX will use the same public vehicles, so he moves in the same way as you. Because he's also a talent agent, he knows covering his tracks, disappears and remains invisible, until the central agency find a new track. The central agency, you work for, periodically will communicate you the postion of MisterX and the vehicle that he used! Since MisterX remains invisible for a few laps you need a certain tactical approach! MisterX has available a limited number of "Joker"; Those who know the game know what I mean, for everyone else it will be a surprise. Load the cartridge, so hunting MisterX can begin!
short game instructions:
- you will need the City map (=game-map)at the beginning of the listing! Print it out and take it with you (about DIN A4 size)
- this guide sounds more complicated than the game really is! The cartrige itself will help you!
- the game is turn-based: you make you turn, then MisterX makes his turn, etc.
- because MisterX knows covering his tracks, you'll NOT always know where he is; periodically the center will give you information on the location of MisterX
- on MisterX's turn, the central agency will you report (almost ) the vehicle he used for his transportation
- all stations are numbered and the transport that can be used at each station are color-coded: Taxi = yellow, Bus = green, Metro = red
- you can reach a station to another only along the colored lines move: Taxi = yellow, Bus = green, Metro = red
- an example: you are standing at station 6: you can take a Taxi to stations: 5, 3, 18, or you take the Bus to the stations: 2, 12, 19, 17 or you go by Metro to the station: 10
- located in your task list ther is item called "current-game status". Use it to display current information about the game
- If you've arrested MisterX, then you will find his travel journal in your object list. So you can check his entire itinerary after the game
- Please don't remove the "top-secret documents" you are going to find!

Android: tested and should work. Unfortunately no absolute guarantee on crash safety!
Iphone: no way for a test. Since the Wherigoplayer on the Iphone's experience has programmed abysmal, I suspect that the cartdridge not running properly there. But I would be glad about a feedback!!
Garmin (Nüvi 550): Successful played out in half-simulated game, no complete test in the field. Known bug on a Garmin Nüvi 550: Crash when loading a saved game, if no satellite fix is available. Why this is so, I unfortunately could not tell. Again, I would appreciate feedback!!
