The Parish Church is the Church of St James, which has stood on its current site for more than 800 years.
Its full title is the Parish Church of St James, Newton-in-the-Isle, with St Mary in the Marsh. The link with St Mary in the Marsh refers to a long-lost chapel and college that stood on the old sea bank on the outskirts of the village. The church falls within the Church of England Diocese of Ely.
“If anybody would like to expand this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first at churchmicro@gmail.com so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication. There is also a Church Micro Stats & Information page found via the Bookmark list ”
