Geocache Description:

Eas Fors is one of the most spectacular waterfalls on Mull, and is easily accessible with nearby parking.

From the car park you can enjoy wonderful views over Loch Tuath to the Isle of Ulva and on its western tip, Gometra.

Ben More (3169ft or 966m) can be seen to the south east and is the only island Munro outside Skye.

Eas Fors is translated as ‘waterfall waterfall’, the first being Gaelic and the second being Scandinavian in origin. Fifty percent of places names on Mull are thought to originate for Norse extraction showing the Viking influence and fifty percent are Gaelic.
