Welcome to the new series around Devils Dyke which replaces the very popular DDC series. The route is very similar to the original but most of the caches are completely different. It’s a circular walk of about four miles around the outer perimeter of Devils Dyke but I’m guessing you will need around 3-4 hours to complete it.
Most of the caches are on National Trust land and they have kindly given permission to place them.
There is parking at the pub on top of Devils Dyke which is now a pay and display CP (£6 all day) or free to National Trust members. There is also a free parking area close to DD6 and also between 4 & 5. No bonus cache this time so you could start anywhere you like and go in any direction. Most of the caches shouldn’t be too hard to find but there are a couple of sneaky ones that may have you scratching your head. However like the first series there is a bit more to it than that...........
A lot of the caches need you to perform small hands-on tasks to either get at the cache or indeed the log book but this time NO TOOLS or equipment are needed although a notepad and pen will be handy. Other caches are straightforward traditional and are placed to keep you on the right route
