O Morro do Vigia é um dos últimos morros do massivo Marumbi. Localizado no município de Piraquara, na região metropolitana de Curitiba. Com 1370 metros de altitude, sua ascensão costuma levar pouco mais de duas horas e meia.
Morro do Vigia (Watchman's Hill) is one of the last hill of Marumbi Massif. Located in Piraquara, in Curitiba's metropolitan region. With 1370 meters of altitude, its ascension usually takes a little over two hours and a half.
O geocache está localizado menos de 2 metros antes do cume.
The geocache is located less than a couple of meters before the summit.
A trilha / The Trail
A trilha começa do lado da trilha do canal, é um entradinha à esquerda um pouco escondida, marcada apenas por um palito amarelo. Pouco metros após o início, há uma placa escrito "Morro do Vigia". Apesar de não apresentar grandes dificulades, a trilha tem infraestrutura consideravelmente precária, não há grampos ou outras comodidades facilitando o caminho, apenas fitas azuis em intervalos irregulares. Dado a quantidade de bifurcações e partes não claramente marcadas, é recomendável ter a trilha no GPS. Muitas marcações podem ser encontradas na internet, utilizei esta aqui, note que esta trilha passa por três morros (todos com geocaches), incluindo o do Vigia, pode-se optar por retornar após assinar o log. The trails begins to the left of Canal's trails, marked by a yellow stick, a few meters after you begin walking you should see a sign that says "Morro do Vigia", this means you're in the right path. Even though that are no parts that are particularly difficult, there's barely any infrastructure on the trail, no "staples" or other installed equipment that would make it easier, only blue ribbons in irregular intervals. Given the amount of forks and overgrown parts, it's recommended you have the trail on your GPS. Many tracks can be found online, I used this one, note the trail goes up three different hills (all of them with geocaches), including Morro do Vigia, you can, however, go back the way you came from once you sign the log. If you choose to continue to Morro do Canal, read the warning below carefully.

Uma recente manutenção da trilha a deixou mais fácil, não há mais necessidade de escalar a parede da foto com uma corda.

Acesso de Curitiba / Getting There From Curitiba
O estacionamento e todas as estradas estão presentes no Google Maps e no Open Streetmaps. Idealmente o GPS seria utilizado para chegar. Mas, se isto não for possível, siga pela BR 277 no sentido litoral, faça o retorno logo antes da praça de pedágio, depois da balança de caminhões, entre na estrada de terra à direita com placas falando sobre o Caminho Trentino, daqui para frente há placas com a direção do morro do canal em todas as bifurcações, siga-as.
The parking lot and all roads that lead to it are on both Google Maps and Open Streetmaps. Use your GPS for navigation if you can. If this is not possible, take BR277 heading to the coast, make a U-Turn (retorno) right before the toll square (pedágio), it's after the truck scale (balança), turn left on the dirt road with signs that say "Caminho Trentino", from this point on, all forks will have signs telling you which way Morro do Canal is, follow those.
Estacionamento / Parking
O parque é estadual, mas uma pousada oferece estacionamento logo na entrada, custa em torno de 10 reais. Infelizmente não é possível estacionar em outro lugar, pois a estrada é muito apertada.
It's a state park, but an inn offers parking right next to the trailhead, it costs around 10 reais. Unfortunately, it's not possible to park somewhere else, because the road is too narrow.
