15 years of Geocaching !

Ces 2 et 3 mai 2015, on célèbre l'histoire du geocaching. Il y a 15 ans, naissait notre passe-temps favori, le geocaching. Le 2 mai 2000, les ondes GPS on été décryptées et ouvertes officiellement au public, augmentant la précision des GPS du monde entier par 10. Le jour suivant sera reconnu comme le jour où la première geocache fut placée.

Pour notre plus grand plaisir, Groundspeak nous propose un souvenir sur notre profile pour tout geocacheur trouvant une cache ou participant à un événement lors des 2 & 3 mai 2015. Ce souvenir débloquera aussi une mission tout comme lors du "Pi Day" en mars dernier.

Je vous propose de nous retrouver sur la petite place en face de l'Église Saint-Laurent le dimanche 3 mai de 20:35 jusque 21h30 environ. Venez simplement avec votre bonne humeur et vos objets voyageurs pour partager un petit moment de convivialité. Tous les geocacheurs sont les bienvenus : débutants, chevronnés, locaux ou de passage et même étrangers ! Possibilités de parler anglais pour les geocacheurs étrangers.

This May 2nd and 3rd, celebrate the history of geocaching by unlocking your mission for 2015. May 2nd and 3rd signal the beginning of geocaching, some 15 years ago. On May 2, 2000, GPS signals were descrambled, increasing the accuracy of GPS devices worldwide by ten times. The following day, what would become known as the first geocache was hidden.

For our greatest pleasure, Groundspeak will give a souvenir on the geocachers profile which found or attended an event on May 2nd and 3rd. It will unlock a mission such as the one on "Pi Day" last March 13th.

For this event, I offer you to gather on the little square in front of the Saint-Laurent church sunday 3rd of May from 20:35 (8:35PM) to 21:30 (9:30PM) approximately. Come with your biggest smile and your travel bugs for sharing a good moment between geocachers. All geocachers are welcomed : beginners, pro, locals or foreign tourists ! English speaking possibilities, ask for the owner :)
