Geocache Description:

This is a magnetic, it contains a tiny pencil but I'd recommend bringing your own pen (BYOP)!

The cache is easy to get to but located in a busy area, by the train station and near the bus station! It is not at a level suitable for children or those in wheelchairs to reach purely to keep it better hidden.

Aberdare and the surrounding villages have yielded some impressive sports personalities and several famous musicians. Following the decline of the coal industry it retained its populace unlike other mining towns and villages which almost perished. Aberdare was host to the national Eisteddfod and this station is the end of the line for commutes, thoug the line itself continues to the still-in-use colliery nearby meaning that coal trains are still seen travelling along this line.
