Wednesday 13th May 2015

The evening will be hosted by Rod and Chris of “Thekennelat79”, who will be in attendance from around 6.00 pm.

Since Wednesday is a fairly quiet night for pubs in Emsworth, the Landlord and his wife have kindly agreed to close the pub to the general public from about 6 pm onwards. Our group will therefore have the whole pub to ourselves from 6.00 pm to 10.30 pm!

As well as a large bar area with plenty of tables, there is also a courtyard garden area available, (if the weather is warm enough!).

A good range of food is available, but if this is not to your taste then there are plenty of nearby places to eat.
An excellent Indian restaurant and a good Fish and Chip shop are within easy walking distance.
Please e-mail me for my recommendations.

In order to give the kitchen staff a chance to get food orders out fairly quickly, and avoid a “log jam”, it would be very much appreciated if you would pre-order your choice direct with the pub.
Please try to place your order by contacting the pub before Wed. 6th May.

The Crown Hotel is located on the north side of the central village square.
From the A259 Havant to Chichester road, turn South at the mini roundabout into the village, and the pub is a few hundred yards along on the left hand side, just past the Co-op store.

There is a fair amount of local on-street parking available, and 2 large car parks can be found within 3 or 4 minutes walk at
South Street Car park N 50 50.740 W 000 56.226
and
Palmers Road Car Park N 50 50.909 W 000 56.170 (behind Tesco).

As is now traditional, there will be a good raffle with 15 prizes worth around £100, and the large wooden treasure chest will be available for the swapping and discovering of Geocoins and Travel Bugs.

If you have not been to an event cache before and would like to experience something different, then please come along.

In addition to the chance to meet other cachers, you will have the opportunity to swap and discover trackables, get hints for local puzzle caches, and tell your tall caching stories!

All are very welcome, even those "Furriners" from West Sussex and further afield!
We look forward to meeting you all, wherever you come from.

We are quite a friendly bunch and promise not to bite!

Children will be made very welcome.
