Zgodovina:
Vrh Trške gore, sredi vinogradov in sadovnjakov, cerkev svetega Jožefa obvladuje vse Krško-brežiško polje tja do Gorjancev.

Hiatory:
On the top of the Trska hill, in the midst of vineyards and orchards, the Church of St. Joseph looks down on Krsko city and on Gorjanci hills. Although Trska hill in Krsko is not as well known as the one in Novo mesto, it nevertheless has a rich history. Under its slope stands the castle Turn, where our big poet France Preseren came to visit his friend Anastazij Griin. Near this castle the Slovenian medalist Vladimir Stovicek also worked for many years. In the immediate vicinity of the church of St. Joseph a writer Janez Mencinger had his estate too. He used to visit Trska hill and he even wrote down his experiences of it in his work 'Meniski spomini'. So Trska hill is full of memories of the great men of Slovenian history. The church had a lot of wealthy godfathers too and this can still be seen today. Influence of rich godfathers can be seen in a rich baroque exterior broken down by semi-columns and niches. But at the same time it gives an impression of incompletion. The locals say that there should be two bell towers on each side of the church. Despite the rich godfathers the most faithful worshipers remained our humble and simple people. A pilgrimage to St. Joseph now comes to life three times a year.
