Event #68
The venue for the May Meeting #68 is "The Chequers Inn" in Petham on Saturday 16th May, 12 Midday to 3pm. The Pub has a reasonable garden, so hopefully in May the weather will be suitable to sit outside. However we can also occupy the restaurant area. There is a car park but in the event of this being full (highly likely) you can park on the side road nearby or further down the hill at the Parish Church. Try to park as tightly as you can. Be careful turning in and out as it's quite a fast road. I will post parking coordinates on this page closer to the date.
Eating at the pub is not a problem but it would be good to be able to give an indication of the numbers that might require food, so please indicate this in the logs.
Dogs are welcome in the main bar area.
There are not many caches in the area at the moment!
Smart Phones do work in the area but the Signal can be weak in places. I recommend using a proper GPS device or saving caches offline in advance.
The Chequer's Inn on the B2068 Stone Street Road which runs all the way from Canterbury down to the M20 near to the Westhanger Services.
