Geocache Description:

Welcome back to one of the largest Geocaching events in the West.  The event will be celebrating 10 years of Geocaching in South Lake Tahoe and can feature up to 50 hidden cache locations in and around the magnificent Tahoe Basin.  You will experience the South Shore area of Lake Tahoe's scenic beauty, outdoor recreation, crisp clean air and high altitude fun.  Be sure you don't miss out on this unique Bi-State event that attracts cachers each year from as far away as Wisconsin and Guam.

Please take note that this is a "Self Sponsored Event" which means there will be a small cover charge to participate in the cache course but kids 17 and under will be free with paying adults. There are no other activities scheduled for the mornings of the event but you are welcome to come in and sign the log book.  All details for this event are subject to change due to weather, host locations or Groundspeak guidelines.

This year's two day High Sierra Adventure is scheduled for June 20th & 21st with a closing party and raffle on Sunday from 4 to 6 PM. Donations for the raffle or event cover charges will be gladly accepted by contacting 4Woodys.  So come join us and fellow cachers from near and abroad at 1062 Emerald Bay Road at the Y shopping center in South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150.

You will need to be present each day with your GPS and cable at 8:30 AM to register and get your payment ticket to receive the Waypoint downloads.  A release of liability form must be signed by everyone participating in the cache course.  Caches will be released at 9:30 AM, then you can start your caching journey into one of the most beautiful and fun filled places on earth.

Dogs are allowed on leash at most sites except where signs are posted or inside the event locations. There is no food or beverages allowed at the download center.  Also, don't miss out on the pre-event pizza night on June 19th at Round Table. http://coord.info/GC5PQJM

Difficulty and terrain levels will vary at the selected cache locations for this event and do not reflect the start/end location.  All cache sites for the event must be approved by Groundspeak's reviewers and cannot be guaranteed for release.
