Geocache Description:

After GC5PBJQ and GC5PZTD this third Cache continues the Mystery series dealing with bridges as theme, some bridges of this volume are from a different kind. At the given coords you won't find any container. Solve the third riddle and get the correct coords - BYOP. To be continued by a weird one (Bonus): GC67P5A.

Similar to missions I & II, each bridge has to be identified and related questions have to be answered, in total 9 missions to be completed. This geocache has nothing to do with "Ponts et Chaussées", the Luxembourg civil servant department (Administration des Pont et Chaussées) in charge of the motorways (including tunnels and street lighting equipment). Any identified similarities would be of pure coincidence.

This bridge was the first of its kind at a given moment in time, nowadays it's closed to vehicular traffic. A= 4th digit of the year (YYYY) its construction begin.

A very ancient type of bridge not designed for people transport means. B= Number of letters in the name of the river (short form) it crosses.

This one is based on a fiction but exists nowadays in a different form. C= 1st letter of the family name of the novel's author.

This "funny" bridge is part of a very extensive network. D= 1st letter of the nickname of the state where you can "use" this bridge.

My favourite one, it sounds holiday season has arrived. E= 1st digit of the maximum height above sea expressed in meters.

A masterpiece of Roman architecture bearing a very famous inscription. F= 5th letter of its inscription.

This famous one is the last remaining of its kind, it's renewed every year. G= 1st letter of the province this bridge is located.

This bridge dramatically collapsed, it was the third longest suspension bridge in the world in terms of main span length at its time. H= time in months from its opening till the crash.

Welcome Masterminds, this is the very special one, from a different kind. "I" was invented by S... long time ago and improved and popularized by someone else. I= Checksum (number of letters) of the second one's family name.

Now go for the Ponts sans chaussées Cache #3 at:

N 49 "3" "(F)" . "(C)" "(D-E)" "(H+I)"

E 006 "0" "(A-E)" . "(A+G+I-D+C)" "(G+I)" "(B+E-A)"
